Superintendent Brian Andjelic would like to announce that Catherine Usher has accepted the position of Principal at Isabel F. Cox School in Redcliff.
Catherine has 13 years teaching experience, having worked the last three in school administration, as a school leader at Webster Niblock School in Medicine Hat. Prior to that assignment, she held positions as principal designate of Elm Street School and as a teacher at both Elm Street and Central Park schools. She holds a Masters of Educational Leadership, a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science).
“I genuinely look forward to having the opportunity to get to know the Redcliff community,” says Usher. “I am excited to learn more about the learning that is already taking place and how we can work together to move these innovative ideas forward. I consider it an honour to become part of such a dedicated team. My door is always open.”
“Catherine’s previous experience working with young children will be a huge asset to I.F. Cox School students and staff,” says Superintendent Brian Andjelic. “She possess many qualities that are important to Prairie Rose; a passion for learning, strong leadership, excellent communication skills and vision of creating an environment of professional learning. We are pleased to have her on the Prairie Rose team.”
Catherine Usher will officially assume the role of principal on July 1, 2017.
