Prairie Rose School Division has been actively monitoring the weather situation across southern Alberta. Many of our schools and communities have received several mm of rainfall over the past week and could become subject to possible flooding. The division would like to ensure parents, students and staff members that safety is the number one priority and all decisions regarding field trips, transportation and possible school closures will be made with that in mind.
Regular updates will be made to the Prairie Rose website and to the @PrairieRoseSD8 Twitter account daily (morning and afternoon) to keep parents and community members up-to-date on any changes to regular school programming. If an issue arises that directly affects specific schools, those schools will send out information and directions for families, as required, through regular school communication channels.
Status: Currently there are no listed bus cancellations or school closures.
